1. The Warwick Rosette is the digital publication of Warwick Labour. The Warwick Rosette, however, remains editorially independent.
2. The views expressed in articles are those of the author(s) and other contributors, not those of The Warwick Rosette, associated organisations, or partners. This applies to opinion pieces written by members of the editorial/directive team. The perspective of The Warwick Rosette (the publication) is solely found in editorial articles.
3. The Warwick Rosette has zero tolerance for extreme views. What this constitutes is decided on a case-by-case basis by the editorial team in accordance with UK law. The senior editorial team has the ultimate say as to what is published.
4. The Warwick Rosette has a zero-AI policy. AI-detection software is used where appropriate to detect attempted violations of this policy.
5. The editorial team alter submissions for purposes that include (but are not limited to) clarity, grammar, flow, general readability, and accordance with our in-house style guide. Editing does not alter the author’s point of view nor the substantive content of a piece.
6. We utilise an edit log at the bottom of pieces to ensure transparency with how articles change over time. This is used for all substantive post-publication edits, such as major formatting changes, correcting factual errors, and the inclusion of additional sources.
7. The Warwick Rosette hosts opinion journalism; however, we still treat facts as sacred – without substantive, accurate factual grounding, opinion journalism is futile. Although we expect all authors to rely only on objective truths when presenting information as fact, consistently double-checking and sourcing information throughout all work, the editorial team will endeavour to ensure the utmost accuracy and correct mistakes as soon as possible.
8. When submissions are made to The Warwick Rosette, all authors agree to this editorial policy.
If you believe you have noticed any breaches of this editorial policy, particularly in relation to factual errors, please contact us. We review all such occurrences promptly, on a case-by-case basis.
